After reading the play, 'The Witness', we understand that Marie has made a brave decision to report about Terry's involvement in the fight. By doing so, she had to face criticism, ostracisation and even threats over her life. It takes a lot of determination, serious contemplation and sacrifice to stand by one's convictions and beliefs.

I believe that people who are strong have no rights to bully the people who are weak.
But if the weak person has no one to back him/her up, he/she must reflects on her action as perhaps he do not has a good character or is someone who is dislike by people.
I also believe the sentence "The world is fair to everyone" in chinese. I would stand up for people who is bully or need helps. Even people I don't know or have to face the consequences of being target by the bully.
But sometimes, I feel that the world is not fair as there are times where you always get blame for something that you didn't do or did wrong.
I believe in justice,in protecting my friends and family.People bigger in size, older or stronger should have the privilege to bully people weaker,younger and smaller in size.
We are all mankind and we should be fair to everyone.If we do not want someone to bully us, or take us for granted, we should treat them as how we want them to treat us as, obviously not using violence or bad languages.
I know some people will definitely do not like my action.But this is who I am but that is the thing that cause me to be unique.We should stand up for our belief of justice.
No one should be excused for their crime.Even thought that they did not let anyone know, they cannot hide it from themselves.But if they are willing to change before its too late, we should forgive them and let them have a chance to proof they have change like the criminals in jail.

Many people tends to compare, when they know that, and also tell others that everyone is unique. To me, i really believe that everyone is unique. Be it in appearance, talent and even of to our thinking, actions and what we liked to do(hobby). As one of the victim that endured the negative comments of others since the enrolment of schooling, i started thinking that it is time that i should stood up. Not to take other people's negative comments on me seriously. I remembered when i was in primary 3, my cca was Chinese Dance. Although i was a good dancer, not being boastful, everyone around me was avoiding me, or even, when they necessarily need a partner, they wouldn't even consider me and ignored me. When the teacher asked why, that partner of mine said," She is so fat." As a primary 3 student, i was really emotionally disturbed. Even in my own family, my relatives would share the same thoughts and comments with others and criticised me. Since then, i started having no self-esteem, confidence and gradually getting bullied in school, almost everytime. Crying without anyone knowing. Until one day, when my dad realised that something was wrong in me, he came and talked to me. He told me that others' can comment anything on me. But when i was conscious of what i was doing, not doing anything bad, i don't have to be scared of anything. Like what Miss Ang said," Getting out of trouble with a smile." This is not exactly that way, but to smile to any negative comments made on me, but not to take them seriously. From then, i was really feeling greatful towards my father. When i get bullied in school again, i just smile and ignore them. There, i stood up from other people's negative comment with a smile on my face. Now, what i strongly believed in is that everyone is unique. As one of the everyone, i must confess that i am indeed different from others. Despite being short and bigger in size compared to the average height, i am able to dance, draw and run faster than certain people. I am feeling extremely good to be myself, to be true to myself and others.

For me I believe in uniqueness and justice. For me, my conviction would be to protect those being outcasted for their own uniqueness. Sure, people have different "tastes" but at least one should have a basic respect for other people. Each person have their own unique quirks and personalities, Thus if they keep to themselves and not harm any other people, he or she should be respected as they have a shred of humanity in them unlike those "normal" people who pick on others not like them. No one are born stereotypes of each other.
For me, I would take the appropriate action needed for each situation. However, there is one situation that I would disregard all consequences and stand up for and that is for those people being backstabbed for an injusted purpose or for those people who are the victims of jealousy. I strongly believe in meritocracy and I think that instead of insults, they should be getting praises hence, This is the situation which I would most likely stand up for as I pity those people who are not getting their fair share of credit. This can deprive one of thier self esteem and leave them to waste away as they will feel that they are being discriminated against.
I strongly dislike people who selfishly dim down other people's brightness in order to raise themselves up. As such I will definately help those people who are being "stepped down" by others as I pity them.

I strongly believe in concrete evidence unlike Marie who got her information through the person himself . For me that is not evidence . I believe justice will prevail one day if someone is in the wrong or wrongly accused . I would obviously stand up for my friend but at the same time , i try not to mess with the wrong people cause i do not want and misunderstandings nor threats to fall upon me . It will be disastrous for me as threats can be dangerous too . One must ponder carefully about whether to stand up for that person or to just leave that friend who is in trouble alone . But if i were to run away from my friend without helping her/him , i would feel very guilty inside and feel bad . It is natural anyway . I think that we shouldn't look down on someone just because they are smaller than you or appears to be weaker than you. I believe in standing up for whats right for they hadn't done anything wrong and does not deserve the humiliation. Others may look up to me as just wanting to 'act big' but it doesn't matter what people say. I believe that you should always put others in your shoes and treat people the way you want to be treated. When i help someone, it is because they hadn't done anything wrong and that if i were to be like him/her, i wouldn't want to be treated in such a way either.
Therefore, i believe in upholding justice for the ones who are not at fault.

I believe in showing kindness for others. There are two types of kindness that we have in us.
One kindness comes from pity. When we see someone whom we don't know or dislike, at times we still show a certain amount of kindness to that person. For example, we see people accidentally drop something on the floor, we help them pick it up or we see an elderly making their way up the bus slowly, we don't rush them or shoot daggers with our eyes at them, instead we wait patiently.
The other kindness is the most common and it's from love. The way we do favours for our friends and family members is one example.
I believe that no matter what type of kindness we are showing to others, we should never lack in it no matter who we are giving it to. One situation is when you show kindness towards someone who is disliked or even hated by your other friends and when you return to their side, they would question you, "Why did you do that for her?". Putting up with that is one of the hardest things. So give your kindness to others without hesitation.

After reading the play"witness",my thoughts came about that even though marie may fear danger if she reaveal the truths to the rest,she still insists on doing it and that makes me feel that she is quite stubborn and believe in justice also.Terry is his boyfriend and even though it may affect their relationship if the secrect is reveal,Marie still appears to be equal and determined to do it.

Unlike others, I have a strong conviction for happiness. While direct measurement of happiness presents challenges, it teaches one many other values. But i do know, that someone, in the crowds gathering around the scene, there will be one who will stand up for them and those who do these sad unsightly action will get back what they deserve.

i would stand up for the rights of what other have to say as there would be evidence that they have show but i must see to that i am not biased about one person not even my best friend nor my girlfriend nor my wife(if i have) and that i would try anything to find evidence about any case that is wish to be cracked unless there are no clue and cannot be solve.
